Harold and Roger Go to York: An Introduction

Last year I did what I planned 15 years before: ride a bike from London to Stamford Bridge taking the same route Harold Godwinson – last Anglo Saxon king of England – took to fight off a Viking invasion in 1066. Writing about my trip has proven much more difficult than the trip itself. It was the trip of a lifetime. Reliving it is satisfying. But I still feel like I need to write it down: will it pop like a soap bubble and be lost forever, otherwise? This is an introduction of 100 words with each day summed in 300 words.
