Useless Data: My Top Ten Listens On Eye Tunes

Important note: These songs were measured likely during the time when one had to sync one’s phone with one’s computer. This top ten list represents a period of time from somewhere around 2010 to around 2015, or something like that.

I finally saw my listening history from the Eye Tunes. I hate Eye Tunes. I hate Apple products and Apple. But without them my life would be profoundly different and perhaps worse. I don’t know, I’m afraid to let them go. I have long fantasies about what we’d do to the people who design the adapters and such. Well, I’ll leave it at that in hopes that I don’t disappear.

Having said all that, yes, Apple has grafted itself to me. I wished for a cultural archive that I could access at a will for a fee and I seem to have gotten my wish. Now almost everything can be found on the internets. The technology is brilliant. The interface isn’t always so easy to use. Maybe I’m just getting old. But I’d say that is my tendency to rely on attrition to solve problems. Why rely on reading the instructions. Just try it or force it until it works.

Anyway, all of this is neither here nor there or anywhere. I am going to post the top ten songs on my Eye Tunes based on how many times it or she or he or they say I have played the song. Of course you don’t care. You don’t care about anything. That’s the world we live in. Scroll on. But I’m going to do it anyway because I can and therefore I will.

I am going to do this Casey Kasem style, from number 10 to number 1. It is Roger’s Eye Tunes Countdown. Enjoy!
