I encourage people who are expressing their creativity or a making personal effort to improve themselves, not because of anything I get in return, but because I know that often one can feel isolated when taking a chance. Even one voice saying, “Keep it up!” can help reduce the sense of being foolish. I am also always ready to share my own mental health or lack of it for the same reason. There is a profound sense of satisfaction when the person I recognize appreciates and respects my encouragement or gets some solace. I think this is good.
