I asked the I Ching what I asked last year about 2021, what do I need to know about 2022? The answer was Hexagram 38, Opposition. I see this as validating my thoughts on antithesis as formative and constructive. Finding the limit of oneself means self-definition. The oracle also advised “in small matters, good fortune.” Vocationally, I see this is an exhortation to focus on the work at hand, not trying to change the broader discourse, at least not now. My intention is that 38 also means finding someone and people that can shape me and my creativity.
