blown away

One of the most beautiful passages in the Aeneid.

“Thus, burning with resentment, in her mind Turning these matters over and over, the goddess Made her way to the spawning place of storms, Aeolia, the cyclones’ mother country.”

Juno creates a storm to thwart the Trojans. This is the first drama of the Aeneid, a marvelous jurisdictional dispute between the gods about who has the right to create storms. Wonderful.
